Joint concert by National Gugak Centre in Korea and Hong Kong Chinese Orchestra.

The spirit of Korean folk and ritual music comes alive in the harmonious blending of samul nori, an ensemble configuration of the large gong, small gong, janggu (hour-glass drum) and drums.

Percussionists from the Contemporary Gugak Orchestra, National Gugak Center of South Korea, demonstrate the meticulous choreography and unique energetic style of samul nori, which displays the harmonious relationship between man and nature.

Yu Jo-yu from Taiwan, champion of last year’s King of Drums Challenge, will also join the show.
